Malevich Kazimir Severinovich (1878, Kiev - 1935, Leningrad) - the artist-avant-gardist. A sort in a family operating factory. From 11 years drew much and wrote paints. In 1894 Malevich Kazimir has ended five-class agronomical school. In 1895 - 1896 studied at drawing school, has then moved with a family to Kursk. There he participated in the created circle of fans of art and served as the draftsman, earning money for a life and study in Moscow. In 1904 has arrived to Moscow where not for long visited employment in school of painting, sculpturing and architecture and in Stroganovsky school. Early works of the artist are close to impressionism and a fauvism.

In 1905 has returned to Kursk and independently was engaged in painting. In 1907 its first known participation under catalogues in an exhibition of the Moscow association of artists where except Malevich's works n.Kandinsky's pictures have been presented has taken place, etc. During travel to Paris Malevich has got under influence of cubic art of Pablo Picasso. Becoming a member of group "Diamond knife", Malevich has headed Russian movement of a cubism. In 1913 Malevich has created the first pictures in specific is abstract-geometrical style which he named "Suprematism".
